This morning, the DVSA announced that MOT due dates for cars, motorcycles and light vans will be extended by 6 months from Monday March 30 2020, to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Vehicle owners do not need to do anything to extend their vehicle’s MOT expiry date if it’s on or after 30 March 2020. However, their vehicle must be safe to drive. Paper exemption certificates will not be needed.
We are still allowed to open our garage and MOT centre and carry out MOT tests.
As from Monday 30th March, WE WILL BE OPEN AS FOLLOWS:
Mon – Wed – Fri: 08.00 to 17.30.
Tue and Thur: Closed to the public.
We will be practicing social distancing and a contactless drop off and collection of vehicles. Please do not visit if you have any symptoms of the Covid – 19 virus.
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has published guidance for vehicle owners that says:
We wish you all the best and keep safe.
